 Eligibility Requirements

Before you start your application, make sure you check these boxes. KAU is prestigious and, therefore, quite selective.

  1. Academic Standing: You must have a degree from an accredited institution with a grade of "Very Good" at minimum.

    • Note: Your certificates and transcripts must eventually be certified by the Saudi Embassy in your country.

  2. Age Limits:

    • Masters Applicants: Must be under 35 years old.

    • PhD Applicants: Must be under 40 years old.

  3. Recommendations: You need two recommendation letters from former professors.

  4. Character & Health: You must have a clean legal record (good conduct) and pass a medical fitness exam.

  5. No Previous Dismissals: You must not have been previously expelled from any university within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 Program Durations

The scholarship covers the standard duration required to complete your degree:

  • Undergraduate: 4 Years

  • Master’s: 2 Years

  • Ph.D.: 3 Years

Pro-Tip: Distinguished Master's students under this scholarship often get the "Fast-Track" opportunity to upgrade their scholarship directly into a PhD program upon completion.

 How to Apply

Applications are typically submitted through the KAU Deanship of Admission and Registration portal. Given that the deadline is May 21, 2026, you should begin gathering your transcripts and reaching out to your professors for those recommendation letters immediately.
