Sule Lamido University (SLU) Opens Postgraduate Admissions for 2026/2027 Session

The School of Postgraduate Studies, Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin Hausa, is officially inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its diverse range of Postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

Whether you are looking to pivot into a new field with a PGD, deepen your expertise with a Master’s, or contribute to original research via a PhD, SLU offers a structured environment across several key faculties.

 Available Programmes

The university offers Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees across four major faculties:

 Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, candidates must meet specific academic benchmarks and have five (5) O' Level credits, including English and Mathematics.

 Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Academic: A first degree (at least 3rd Class) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit.

• Note: OND plus professional qualifications or HD are not accepted as equivalent to HND.

 Master’s Degree Programmes

Candidates must satisfy one of the following:

1. Direct Entry: A minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) with a CGPA of 2.75/5.00 in a relevant field.

2. Via PGD: A Second Class (Lower Division) with a CGPA between 2.40 – 2.74, plus a PGD with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (Merit).

3. HND Holders: A HND with Upper Credit plus a PGD with a minimum CGPA of 3.50/5.00.

 PhD Degree Programmes

• Applicants must hold an academic Master’s degree from SLU or another recognized university.

• Minimum CGPA: A Master's CGPA of at least 3.50/5.00 is required.

 Application Guidelines

The application window is open for approximately two months. Ensure you complete your registration within this period:
