The University of Ilorin has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration.

This update is important for candidates who applied for Admission into UNILORIN as their first-choice institution, either through UTME or Direct Entry.

According to the admission notice, the registration portal opens on Monday, 22 June 2026 and will close on Sunday, 5 July 2026.

Candidates are advised to complete their registration early and avoid waiting until the final day, because mistakes, network issues or payment delays may affect their application.

Who Can Apply for UNILORIN Post-UTME/DE 2026?

The screening exercise is for candidates who applied to the University of Ilorin for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Eligible applicants include:

  • UTME candidates who selected UNILORIN as first-choice institution

  • Direct Entry candidates who applied to UNILORIN

  • Candidates who have the required O’Level or A’Level details for their chosen course

  • Applicants who can provide correct JAMB, NIN and result information during registration

Candidates should note that wrong entries may lead to disqualification. This means every applicant must be careful when entering personal details, examination details, result information and contact details.

UNILORIN Post-UTME Registration Date 2026

UNILORIN Post-UTME/DE registration will run from:

Start Date: Monday, 22 June 2026
Closing Date: Sunday, 5 July 2026
Closing Time: 11:59 PM

Candidates should not treat the deadline casually. Once the registration portal closes, changes may no longer be accepted.

UNILORIN Post-UTME/DE Registration Fee

The registration fee for the UNILORIN 2026/2027 Post-UTME/DE screening is:

₦2,000 only

Candidates should also note that there may be additional charges for NIN verification and O’Level result verification after registration.

Payment should be made only through the approved UNILORIN admission portal and Remita payment process.

Avoid paying money to admission agents, private accounts or unofficial persons.

Documents and Details Needed Before Registration

Before starting the registration, candidates should prepare the following:

  • JAMB registration number

  • National Identification Number

  • O’Level result details

  • O’Level result checker card or PIN

  • A’Level result details, where applicable

  • Active personal email address

  • Personal phone number

  • Correct date of birth

  • Correct UTME subject combination

  • Valid payment card or approved payment option

Candidates are strongly advised to use their own phone number and email address, not another person’s contact details. UNILORIN may use the email and phone number provided for important admission communication.

Important Notice on JAMB CAPS

Candidates must upload their O’Level and A’Level results, where applicable, on JAMB CAPS.

Applicants who are awaiting results should indicate this properly during registration.

Candidates who want to change course should make the change on JAMB CAPS, not only on the UNILORIN portal.

UNILORIN will download updated course changes from JAMB CAPS before the close of registration. After the registration deadline, there may be no further update.

This is why candidates must make sure their course, result and personal details are correct on both JAMB CAPS and the UNILORIN portal.

How UNILORIN Will Calculate Admission Score

UNILORIN admission will be based on a combined aggregate score.

The calculation will use:

  • UTME/A’Level score: 50%

  • Post-UTME screening score: 30%

  • Five relevant O’Level grades: 20%

This means candidates should not focus only on their JAMB score. Your Post-UTME performance and relevant O’Level grades will also matter.

A candidate with a good UTME score still needs to prepare well for the screening exercise, especially if the chosen course is competitive.

O’Level One-Sitting Requirement for Some Courses

Candidates applying for some courses must have their relevant O’Level subjects in one sitting only.

The affected courses include:

  • Medicine and Surgery

  • Pharmacy

  • Optometry and Vision Science

  • Computer Engineering

Applicants for these courses should check their O’Level results carefully before applying.

If your course requires one sitting and you apply with two sittings, it may affect your admission chances.

How to Register for UNILORIN Post-UTME/DE 2026

Candidates should visit the official UNILORIN undergraduate pre-admission portal and select the Post-UTME registration option.

On the portal, candidates should verify their details by entering the required information, including JAMB registration number, phone number and email address.

After verification, candidates should proceed to payment through the approved Remita payment platform.

Once payment is successful, login details will be sent to the email address provided during registration.

Candidates should then log in to the UNILORIN portal using their JAMB registration number and password sent to their email.

After logging in, applicants should click on the application section, complete the required details, verify their NIN information, enter O’Level details, provide result checker PIN information where required, and submit the form.

Before final submission, candidates should carefully review every detail.

Direct Entry Candidates

Direct Entry candidates are also required to follow the same registration process.

In addition, DE applicants must select their highest academic qualification and provide all relevant academic information.

Candidates who want to upgrade from UTME to Direct Entry must first complete the upgrade on JAMB CAPS before starting registration on the UNILORIN portal.

The details on JAMB CAPS and the UNILORIN portal must match.

Candidates Exempted from the Post-UTME Screening Test

Some candidates may be exempted from the Post-UTME screening test but will still be screened for admission.

This includes candidates from outside Nigeria who applied through UTME or Direct Entry modes.

Candidates with disabilities may also be exempted from the screening test. This includes candidates who are blind, deaf, mute, autistic, amputees, lame, paralyzed, or candidates with conditions such as Down syndrome, dyslexia, ADHD, albinism, cerebral palsy or disfigurement.

Such candidates should still complete the required registration and follow the admission instructions carefully.

Important Warning to Candidates

UNILORIN has warned candidates to enter their details correctly.

Any error in examination details may be treated as deliberate falsification and can lead to automatic disqualification at any stage.

Candidates should especially check:

  • JAMB registration number

  • NIN

  • Date of birth

  • O’Level examination number

  • O’Level result details

  • UTME subjects

  • UTME score

  • Course selected

  • Email address

  • Phone number

After registration, candidates should print their screening documents and confirm that all details are displayed correctly.

If any information is not properly displayed, candidates should correct it before the portal closes.
