If you are looking to clear your papers or boost your grades for university Admission, here is your comprehensive guide to getting registered without hitches.

 Important Deadlines (Mark Your Calendar!)

Don't wait until the final hour. The system for generating PINs closes earlier than the actual registration portal.

Note: The "Walk-in" option is only available until 24 hours before the specific paper you intend to write. Registration fees are non-refundable.

The New Exam Format: CBT & Hybrid

For 2026, WAEC is leaning heavily into technology. It is vital to understand how you will be tested:

  1. Objective Papers: Fully Computer-Based Test (CBT).

  2. Essay & Practical Papers: Hybrid Mode. Questions will be displayed on the screen, but you will write your answers in traditional answer booklets.

  3. Mock Exam: An online mock will be available to help you familiarize yourself with the CBT environment. Details will be sent via SMS/Email to registered candidates.

🛠️ How to Register

  1. Purchase PIN: Visit any accredited bank (Access, GTB, Zenith, First Bank, etc.) or use cashless channels like Paga, Palmpay, Interswitch, or Carbon.

  2. Biometrics: You must use the UareU digitalPersona fingerprint device for capturing.

  3. Passport Photo: Use a Microsoft HD 3000 camera. Photos must be JPEG, 275x314 pixels, with a contrasting background. No glasses or headgear that obstructs the face.

  4. Website: Log on to www.waeconline.org.ng to complete the data entry.

 Essential Rules for Candidates

  • Mufti Only: No professional uniforms (Police, Nurse, Military, etc.) are allowed in the exam hall.

  • Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones are strictly prohibited. Bringing one results in total cancellation of results.

  • Single Centre: Sitting for the exam in more than one centre will lead to the cancellation of all results.

  • Admission Notice: Once registration is complete, print your Admission Notice. This is your ID for the exam and contains your Result Checker PIN.

 Study Resources

To get comfortable with the CBT interface, WAEC recommends using the Allcbts CBT App. Additionally, solved past questions (Objective and Theory) are now available on the official WAEC website.
