The management of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES), Iyin Ekiti, has announced the commencement of admissions into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as well as Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking Admission into the institution's various degree programmes.

FUTES is one of Nigeria's newly established federal universities, created to provide specialized training in technology, environmental sciences, engineering, computing, and other emerging fields critical to national development.

FUTES Cut-Off Mark for 2026/2027 Admission

To be eligible for admission consideration, candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 150 in the 2026 UTME.

Candidates who meet the required cut-off mark and possess the necessary O'Level qualifications are eligible to participate in the admission screening exercise.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates applying for admission into FUTES must:

  • Have sat for the 2026 UTME.

  • Score a minimum of 150 in the examination.

  • Possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

  • Obtain the required UTME subject combination for their chosen course.

  • Meet all departmental admission requirements.

  • Be at least 16 years of age at the time of admission.

Candidates awaiting O'Level results may also apply, provided such results are uploaded before the admission process is concluded.

Direct Entry (DE) Admission

Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into 200-level programmes must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • National Diploma (ND)

  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

  • Higher National Diploma (HND)

  • IJMB

  • JUPEB

  • A-Level Certificates

  • Other qualifications recognized by JAMB and the university.

All Direct Entry candidates are required to have registered through JAMB Direct Entry.

Additional programmes approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) may also be available.

Registration Procedure

Eligible candidates should follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the FUTES admission portal.

  2. Create an applicant account using a valid email address.

  3. Complete the online admission screening form.

  4. Upload all required credentials and supporting documents.

  5. Pay the prescribed screening fee where applicable.

  6. Submit the application form online.

  7. Print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.

Candidates Who Did Not Choose FUTES

Candidates who did not initially select FUTES as their first-choice institution may still apply. However, such candidates are advised to process a Change of Institution through JAMB and choose FUTES as their preferred institution before admission can be finalized.

Applicants are advised to ensure that all information supplied during registration is accurate and verifiable. Submission of false information or forged credentials may lead to immediate disqualification from the admission process.
