The management of Prince Audu Abubakar University (PAAU), Anyigba, Kogi State, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for candidates seeking Admission into the university's undergraduate programmes.

According to the university, registration for the admission screening exercise commenced on Monday, June 1, 2026, and will close on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Eligible candidates are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period.

PAAU Cut-Off Mark for 2026/2027 Admission

Only candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are qualified to participate in the admission screening exercise. Candidates who score below the minimum cut-off mark will not be considered for admission.

However, highly competitive programmes such as Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Law, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Data Science may require significantly higher scores due to competition and available admission quotas.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:

• Choose Prince Audu Abubakar University (PAAU) as their First Choice Institution in JAMB.

• Score a minimum of 150 in the 2026 UTME.

• Possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

• Have the correct UTME subject combination for their intended course of study.

• Upload their O'Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal.

• Ensure that all information supplied during registration is accurate and verifiable.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to apply provided they possess relevant qualifications such as:

• ND (National Diploma)

• NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education)

• HND (Higher National Diploma)

• IJMB

• JUPEB

• A-Level Certificates

• First Degree or equivalent qualifications recognized by JAMB.

Screening Method

The university has disclosed that the admission screening exercise will be conducted online.

UTME candidates will be screened using:

• UTME Score – 70%

• O'Level Results – 30%

There will be no physical Post-UTME examination for candidates participating in the screening exercise.

Registration Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of:

₦2,000 only

Payment should be made through the approved university admission portal.

Registration Procedure

Candidates should follow the steps below:

1. Visit the PAAU admission portal.

2. Log in using their JAMB Registration Number.

3. Complete the online screening application form.

4. Upload all required credentials and documents.

5. Pay the prescribed screening fee.

6. Submit the application.

7. Print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.

Important Notice

Candidates who did not initially choose PAAU as their first-choice institution may still apply. However, such candidates must process a Change of Institution through JAMB and select Prince Audu Abubakar University as their first-choice institution before the close of registration.

The university has also emphasized the importance of uploading O'Level results on JAMB CAPS, as admission processing depends heavily on the availability of these results on the platform. Candidates awaiting results may apply but must upload their results immediately they are released.
