Candidates applying for highly competitive programmes such as Medicine and Surgery, Law, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Accounting, Computer Science, and Engineering courses are advised to obtain significantly higher scores to improve their chances of admission.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

• Choose Rivers State University (RSU) as their First Choice Institution in JAMB.

• Obtain a minimum UTME score of 190.

• Possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

• Obtain the required credits in relevant subjects for their chosen programme.

• Upload their O'Level results on JAMB CAPS.

• Meet all departmental admission requirements.

Candidates who did not choose RSU as their first-choice institution are not eligible for the screening exercise unless they first process a Change of Institution through JAMB.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Direct Entry candidates are also eligible to participate in the admission screening exercise provided they possess any of the following qualifications:

• National Diploma (ND)

• Higher National Diploma (HND)

• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

• IJMB

• JUPEB

• A-Level Certificates

• First Degree or equivalent qualifications recognized by JAMB.

Applicants must also satisfy the O'Level requirements and programme-specific admission conditions.
